Hidamari Sketch 11 includes the four Hidamari residents and Yoshinoya. The first half cuts back and forth between Yuno, Miyako, Sae, and Hiro at the zoo and Yuno and Miyako discussing their trip in Yuno’s room, and the second half is about Yoshinoya’s recovery in Hidamari Apartments.

Yuno wakes up and smiles at a book. The book’s cover has penguins on it, but as penguins have no external genetalia there is no way to determine if she is smiling at male or female penguins. Since this is the only action of the scene, Yuno gets a 0.

Yuno calls for Miyako to leave the apartment building. No yuri to speak of, 0s for all.
Scene 3: 02:08 - 02:17

Miyako nearly trips coming down the stairs. Yuno tells her she’s late in a very friendly way, but it’s not quite enough to count as a 1, leaving her at 0. Other than that, no noticeable yuri in the scene.
Scene 4: 02:18 - 03:01

On the way to the zoo, Yoshinoya attempts to give a bus tour of the neighborhood but stops when she gets motion sickness. She doesn’t point out any especially lesbian venues, so she gets a 0.
Scene 5: 03:04 - 04:21

Yuno tries to keep her own motion sickness under control as they ride the bus. Miyako’s interest in Yuno’s condition displays a desire to know her better and become closer to her, and combined with the overt praise of her sunglasses Miyako gets a 2. Yuno gets a 1 for playing along but doing little to reciprocate.

Yuno and Miyako discuss the trip to the zoo. These nine scenes take up only about a minute and a half of actual scene time and have little to no actual yuri content (they even sit at a regular table, which doesn’t suggest intimacy in the way sharing a kotatsu might), so they get 0s for each one. These scenes have been grouped together for the write-up for brevity, but are still counted individually in the calculations for the episode.
Scene 7: 04:32 - 05:13

Yuno, Miyako, Sae, and Hiro enter the zoo and Sae is questioned about her dating history. Like in Episode 08, Sae is obviously making up her stories, only claiming to have been to the zoo after being told by Hiro that it was a popular dating spot and getting so flustered as to mess up her sentence structure. Once more there is evidence that Sae has not been tainted by heterosexual romance, but since there’s little to suggest yuri in its place (again, as in Episode 08), she only gets a 3. Hiro gets a 1 for her teasing in bringing the subject up, and Yuno and Miyako get 0 for their unnoteworthy reactions.

Hiro discusses her secret desires involving elephants. Her neurosis isn’t especially yuri. 0s for all.

Miyako invents a story about one of the macaques at the zoo. The story, one of an adopted son taking care of his mother, doesn’t suggest yuri, so Miyako gets a 0, as do the others, who only react.

Yuno sees a tapir. She talks with Miyako but their conversation has little yuri subtext. Both get 0.
Scene 15: 06:58 - 07:19

Yuno sees a lion. In her excitement over the lion’s perceived cuteness, she spontaneously reaches out for Sae’s upper arm, a body language sign of intimacy that pushes her to a 3 for the scene. Sae seems confused by the action, so she doesn’t get yurilevels for it.

Sae is courted by an earless seal. Yuno and Miyako are only present very early in the scene; Miyako acts to further exposition and gets 0, but Yuno’s correction is warm enough to give her a 1. Initially Sae’s yurilevels were reduced significantly for leading the seal on, but after prompting from Hiro she quickly and embarrassedly turns down his advances, giving her a 3. Hiro’s teasing and direct shoulder contact with Sae also give her a 3.
Scene 19: 08:11 - 08:52

The Hidamaris eat lunch at the zoo. Yuno gets minor yurilevels for fawning over Hiro’s sausages, coming to about a 1, while the rest spend the scene focused on Miyako’s silliness and stay at 0.
Scene 21: 09:01 - 09:33
C: Yu, Mi, Sa, Hi
Sae and Hiro look at Miyako’s drawings and then Yuno’s. Yuno gets embarrassed when the others see her drawings, but it’s a shameful and not a romantic type of embarrassment. Other than that, there were no possibly yuri scenes, so everyone ends up with 0.
Scene 23: 09:39 - 10:41
C: Yu, Mi, Sa, Hi
Sae tries to help Yuno and Miyako with their animal drawings. Her attempt to act the wise sempai to them increases her yurilevels somewhat, but through the rest of the scene she doesn’t do much that conveys yuri. Hiro gets minor yurilevels for her concern when Sae tells about her experiences in middle school, and Yuno gets a significant increase by actually trying to reassure her. Miyako is mostly inert in this scene. Final readings are Yuno with 2, Sae and Hiro with 1, and Miyako with 0.
Scene 24: 10:41 - 11:10

Yoshinoya comes over and praises Sae’s animal drawings. She gets slight yurilevels for the encouragement, but Sae’s increase greatly from her overwhelming joy at the complimenting. Yoshinoya ends with 1, and Sae with 3.
Scene 26: 11:24 - 11:46
C: Yu, Mi, Yo
Yuno and Miyako get back on the bus and see Yoshinoya. Their pleasant comfortable exchange, and Yuno’s invitation to return to the zoo at some point, gets them yurilevels, while Yoshinoya has none for spending the scene trying to avoid vomiting. Miyako gets 1, Yuno gets 2, and Yoshinoya gets 0.
Scene 28: 12:03 - 16:36

The Hidamaris take Yoshinoya to Hiro’s room. Sae and Hiro get initial yurilevels from their careful treatment of Yoshinoya, but the scene as a whole has little yuri content. Early on, Sae catches Yoshinoya and holds her shoulders, but it’s because she’s just nearly fainted so it doesn’t carry any yuri with it. Towards the end of the scene, Yuno, Miyako, and Hiro each compliment Yoshinoya’s appearance in her honorarium book, getting them yurilevels as well. Overall readings are 1 each for the Hidamaris and 0 for Yoshinoya.
Scene 29: 16:37 - 21:20

After Yoshinoya leaves, the others discuss rumors about her. This scene is mainly to give additional details about Yoshinoya’s character, but nobody does it in a suggestive manner, instead making her out to just be odd. Everyone gets 0.
Scene 30: 21:20 - 21:31

Yoshinoya briefly returns to grab her pennant and correct one of the rumors said about her. She says saved a boy rather than a woman, so clearly no yurilevels can be given to her here.
Scene 31: 21:31 - 21:36

Yuno, Miyako, Sae, and Hiro stare in amazement. Their surprise at Yoshinoya conveys disbelief rather than admiration, so nobody gets yurilevels for it.
Scene 32: 21:39 - 22:07

Yuno vows to go to the aquarium and thinks about Yoshinoya. Again, she treats Yoshinoya as a mystery rather than a romantic interest, but her desire to go to the aquarium with everyone suggests a closeness to the other Hidamaris that leaves her with a 1 for the scene.

Readings for the episode were greatly held down by the first half, when the constant switching back to Yuno and Miyako cut the scene up and prevented long scenes with high yuri, and by Scene 30, when nobody got yurilevels. These were especially problematic in an otherwise yuri-light episode, ultimately resulting in one of the lowest readings for an episode so far in the investigation. The 1s earned by everyone in Scene 29 served to boost everyone’s readings, particularly Yuno’s, who stayed consistent throughout the episode and got one of her strongest character rankings yet.
